maybe there could be a sailors guild being exclusively rhizards from the sailor path and they could make boats or pilot boats across lakes and oceans as the world develops?

Well if they have a guild exclusive for Rhizard sailors, which I don't think is a bad idea, and I think it might have been in another thread, or atleast something like that. Then they would have to have guilds for the other races, too, or atleast something to balance it out. Just my 2 cents worth.

Or what about a guild for Thiefs? i dont think there are many around at the moment but i hope to see more. im not sure exactly what Thives can gain from having there own guild but i can think on it  Wink

New guilds would be great but other races have promotion lines that include sea farring people.

Guilds would be good addition but I tinhk they would be way down the list. There are only so many staff and alot of ideas

Well, the point is, guilds are suppose to be something that everyone can join at one point, not just specific class or race. I would like to join if there would be a guild for sailors, but since I'm a human and definately not a sailor, I can't join. So, there should be something else that I could join that's exclusive for my class. And, of course other classes would want the same. And judging from the number of classes, it would make one huge numbers of guilds, elders, and, not to mention special abilities since you guys can make boats and/or pilot across the lake/ocean, I'd like something similar for my class too. And I'm sure other classes would want the same Wink

I think the creation of a thieves guild should take priority over a sailor's guild. Then perhaps a mage guild.

sailors guild would have to expand over to hounzalids too, they have a sailor class as well....

So if someone is in the smithing guild does that mean they can't join another guild?  Does it make sense that someone is in two guilds at once?

i think you could probably leave a guild if you wanted to. And a mage guild should come first since magic is being implemented right now. And guilds being exclusive for certain classes and races would be neat that way it would be more exclusive.

Well I guess that would make quite more jobs for smiths, but you would need to find elders/ guild masters to accept the applications for the guild every once in a while. I think new guilds are a great idea, opening up more jobs for smiths, while making classes sort of useful more than gaining you stats.

well the staff members are the guild leaders right now. So i'm sure they'll be the guild leaders for the other guilds.

What I meant was that actually Eaving is the guild master/elder of the blacksmith guild, but the staff as a whole aren't the guild masters/elders. So in a sense means Eaving being a staff member is the guild master/elder, so you were correct about staff being the guild master.

Hmm...nice idea, glad I'm going to be a Hounzalid Pirate soon.

Maybe for a sailor's guild you could learn how to sail, and you could sail to many different places easily, and in the sea, you could be amubushed by monsters. Yep, an idea that I know that's not gonna work.  Tongue

Hmm... I think the staff are already planning to make a deity temple or place of worship. If they don't, they wouldn't have the Deific Combat Classes in the Rhizard promotion line, would they? Wink

And how about a guild for the poor hounds. Something exclusively for them since they've been deprived from magic, considered as evil and feared by the community, it would be logical if they would band together.

Staff as guild leader is a two sided coin actually.  I was the leader of the guild as a player before there was a staff.  Theres no real reason that any future guilds would need to be run by staff.  What the guild leader would have to be is a long term, active player.  That also happens to be a requirement for the staff however, so decent odds either a staff ends up as a guild leader, or that a regular, long term guild leader woudl somehow eventually end up as staff.

2 ideas...
- A Herbalist Guild... I want to be a herbalist!

- Give clans the ability to evolve into a guild... prerequisits could be to build an (expensive)
Guild Hall... choose a "focus" (magic, thivery, smithing... whatever)... perhaps all members
need to have "credentials"/"stamp of approval", or something similar, from the "official" Guild.
(haven't put much thought into this idea yet)

TO make things easier why not just make one huge palace where they teach you all you want to know and you can join sector's in  this building like a school you choose the classes but as you all know school ain't free so its gonna cost you and make you have certain requirements to join the classes you want.
