Lantern of Everglow
If the Lantern of Everglow works in the Southern Grasslands at night, why doesn't it work in the Mausoleum.  Why do we have to wander around in total darkness all the time?

Re: Lantern of Everglow
o.O Why would you use an LoE in Sogra anyways? The only place you could use a Lantern in is the Lower Sewers.

Thats no answer, Calah, why have a Lantern of Everglow, that cost good money, if it doesn't work where you want it to.

From what I remember, the Lantern of Everglow only works for if you want to enter the Lower Sewers.  You used to need a torch that would get used up when you wanted to enter it, but the Lantern of Everglow is another way to enter if you don't have a torch.  The little circle of light you have around your character at night happens on the outside maps that are covered in the night's darkness (or any map that's supposed to be really dark actually).  It just represents your natural sight range.  The Lantern doesn't do that for you, or augment it in any way.

I hope that helps a bit.

Why not? Why doesn't it works at night? what use of having a lantern that always glows but it does not light your path at night or in dark places other than the lower sewer? And, why would someone not use a lantern at night or in dark places if they have one in their bag?

The lantern was only introduced to provide an alternative to torches for entering the Lower Sewers.  Torches were being snatched up and the shops selling them were being bought out extremely fast.  The demand was massive, but the supply couldn't meet it, so a bunch of people weren't able to get into the Lower Sewers.  The Lantern of Everglow was then introduced out of the blue to counter this.

Now, despite that being what it's used for, it obviously has a lot of potential Smile  Maybe one day it'll be used for much more than it is now.
